Massage is a wonderful way to take time out & relax but also to work on those areas that are carrying tension. We currently have three therapists that offer different types of massage depending on what you require:
Annette offers a Therapeutic Deep Tissue Massage which you can take advantage of for either 30 minute, 45 minute or 1 hour sessions. She also offers Hot Stone Massage which is available for 50 minutes.
Christiane offers a Orthopaedic Deep Tissue Massage which are available for either 30 minute, 45 minute or 1 hour sessions. She also offers Hot Stone Massage which is available for 50 minutes and a 1 hour Pregnancy Massage.
Marc is our Sports Massage Therapist who offers a Sports Deep Tissue Massage which are available for 45 minute sessions.
All of our Massage Therapists work closely with our Chiropractors to ensure that our patients get the maximum benefit possible from their treatment at the Centre. Although this is what we strongly recommend, any of the massages we offer can be booked as a stand-alone session. We have many clients that come in for what we like to call a 'maintenance' massage once a month which keeps them feeling relaxed and able to move freely. As referred to above, we have many patients who like to combine both the massage with the chiropactic either consecutively or on separate days (which work extremely well together to get you feeling supple and on top of your health) who have received maximum benefit and continue to do so.
Our Massage Therapists use some fantastic massage wax or relaxation oils to give that extra special feel but also enable them to work easily on those muscles that really need deeper work.
A massage is definitely something that everyone can benefit from... even if it is just to take time out & focus on 'you' for half an hour in the day! If you haven't had a massage before then we would recommend you try a 30 minute massage to get you started!
It is important to us that we give you a bit more understanding about the types of massage we have to offer so please find below this information:

Massage in pregnancy can be a lovely experience which can help you to relax in the lead up to the birth as well as supporting your pregnancy. Due to the changes your body may experience during pregnancy, there can be additional strain placed upon specific areas. This is where the massage can help to relieve those aches, pains & other common health problems that you may be experiencing. The fantastic thing about pregnancy massage is it offers a number of benefits for not just you but your baby too! It is extremely important during this time to take remember to take time for yourself to relax & ensure you are feeling at your utmost best for both you and your baby. A pregnancy massage is specifically designed to give you that time and you may find that you even start to feel a few kicks (depending how far in your pregnancy you are) during your massage as both your muscles & your baby relax!
Generally, the more relaxed you are during your pregnancy, the more relaxed your labour will be and the birth of your baby.
The Pregnancy Massage Sessions that we offer last for 1 hour... this is so you don't feel rushed and there is enough time for our Therapists to give you a full body massage within that time if that is what you desire. Hot Stone Massage
Our Hot Stone Massage is available for 50 minute sessions with Annette or Christiane. A Hot Stone Massage is a speciality massage where our Massage Therapist will use smooth, heated stones as an extension of her own hands, or by placing them on specific areas of your body. The heat can be both deeply relaxing and help warm up tight muscles enabling your Massage Therapist to work more deeply, more quickly if desired. The temperature of these stones will be discussed with you at the beginning of your massage so that they are at the right temperature for you. This will ensure the best possible experience for you.
Please note that a Hot Stone Massage is not appropriate if you have diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, or are on medication that thins your blood. You shouldn't get a hot stone massage if you are pregnant or have a sunburn.
